Who are we?

Lindsay Maclean of ielevate

Having worked in personal development training since leaving university in 2000, Lindsay is highly passionate about the subject and continues to gain extensive knowledge.   She began strategic and creative marketing for a leading Presentation Training company in 2001 that provided leadership training for SMs and CEOs of blue-chip organisations.  While there she realised it was the younger generation that needed help with communicating their messages so she combined her knowledge of leadership training techniques with her exposure to a diverse number of CEOs to create the ielevate training method for graduates, start ups and young people.

She has studied a number of coaching models in the UK, Australia and America over the last five years and constantly defines her work.     The ielevate method was developed in 2007 and helps individuals articulate their message and present themselves with impact.   She believes this skill is the key to a successful and fulfilling path.  Her work is practical and visible.   This year Lindsay was a finalist for her ‘Outstanding Contribution Towards Learning and Development’ by the Learning & Skills Council.  As well as providing consultancy for a number of organisations she is an ambassador for ‘Make your Mark’.

Kemi Laniyan has shown inspirational drive and perseverance in the face of many barriers on the road to success. She is now the owner and Managing Director of a thriving property business, Corporate Homes Ltd based in Baker Street.   Kemi originally dreamed of owning a small restaurant with her finance. However, she was forced to abandon her dream and lost the restaurant, when she was abruptly let down by a financial backer.

With next to no money, Kemi and her fiancé embarked on their comeback plan. Having already had experience of developing and letting a flat, they decided to put these skills to use. With some clever negotiation and competitive proposals, Kemi persuaded a number of landlords let her take over some of their properties, and this was the beginning of the business that would become Corporate Homes Ltd. She says, “It has not always been easy, but the passion and self belief I have has driven me to success. I believe these two qualities are essential for any entrepreneur.

Kemi is an award winner for writing the best business plan.  Kemi focuses on providing advice on how best to prepare and write a working business plan designed to be used to get started but also a guide to thier ultimate goal.

Jo Behari of Home Jane

Joanna Behari set up the first female property maintenance and home improvement company in the UK. Home Jane's tradeswomen tackle a range of work from DIY jobs, from building shelves to bathroom and kitchen re-fits. Jo established the business after having work done in her own home and finding the process frustrating and at times intimidating. Having looked into female trades people Jo realised there was a gap in the market for a company to provide an all round service.  By pooling the resources of the trades women Home Jane can provide clients with a one stop shop for all trades, whilst providing a high level of customer service. The company has expanded to national locations and has exceeded all forecasts and projections. Home Jane's success has also been recognised by a number of prestigious awards.

Having previous training and experience in marketing along with setting up her own business, Jo has run workshops for other small businesses and start-ups that need help to develop and execute their marketing strategy. Jo concentrates on the areas that most small businesses and start-ups struggle with including building a robust brand and marketing on a budget.
